D. Vishnu Prasanna is a dedicated Carbon Offset Researcher and Green Energy Technology Developer with a deep commitment to sustainability. He has submitted his Ph.D thesis in Carbon reduction, Anna University - Chennai, where his research focused on the experimental analysis of CO2 reduction using abundant material as catalyst by thermo-catalytic gasification for fuel gas production. He also earned an M.E. in Energy Engineering and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, both from Anna University.
Over the past several years, Vishnu Prasanna has made significant contributions to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, particularly in carbon capture, conversion, and utilization (CCU) within India. As a Decarbonisation Research Engineer and technology developer, he has been instrumental in developing and implementing technologies that support India’s ambitious Net Zero vision. His work, which spans cutting-edge research to practical industry applications, focuses on reducing carbon footprints in critical sectors like manufacturing, and solid waste management’s especially Waste to Energy. His unique approach to CCU in the Indian context combines scientific innovation with practical solutions, ensuring that theoretical advancements translate into real-world impacts.
Vishnu Prasanna’s expertise extends to managing complex research projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and conducting environmental lab analyses. His role as a ecopreneur allows him to be agile and responsive to the specific needs of different industries including biofuel processing and green hydrogen production and utilisation, making his contributions both impactful and adaptable.
