Upendra Pratap Singh holds an M.Tech. in Energy Studies from IIT Delhi and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. He is an Accredited Energy Auditor certified by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) accredited by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). Additionally, he is a member of ASHRAE and the Alliance for Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE), as well as a Life Fellow of the Society of Energy Engineers & Managers (SEEM).

 

With over 25 years of experience, Upendra has excelled in various aspects of energy efficiency, sustainable development, equipment safety, and reliability. His expertise extends to maintenance optimization, power quality, and electrical network modernization across government, public, and private sectors. He has collaborated with multilateral and bilateral agencies such as the World Bank, UNDP, UNEP, and GTZ Germany. Upendra has provided consulting services in more than ten countries, contributing to the conceptualization, development, and implementation of energy efficiency, cleaner production, and climate change projects.

 

His involvement spans diverse sectors of the Indian economy, including industrial, commercial, agriculture, and urban areas. Upendra has successfully managed teams of energy specialists, solution architects, and vendors, overseeing the delivery of energy efficiency consultancy, implementation projects, and the demonstration of energy savings achieved after implementation.
