Carla Henriques is an Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, Coimbra Business School| ISCAC and a faculty member of the Energy for Sustainability Initiative - UC, where she supervises MSc. and PhDs. She holds a PhD in Electrical and Computers Engineering (specialisation in Systems Optimization) from the University of Coimbra and a PhD in Business and Economics from the University of Málaga (specialization in Economics). She is an integrated researcher at INESC Coimbra and collaborates with CeBER and has been developing scientific work focused on the development and use of mathematical models (both econometric and optimization models), which allow the evaluation energy policies and that have been used in the context of energy economics.
She has also participated (both as a member – 14 projects and as a PI – 1 project) in several national and international research projects, namely funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology, the European Cooperation in Science and Technology, the European Regional Development Fund and the Spanish Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness.
